Totkay For Growth Mindset!!
What is your mindset? There are two types of mindset: Fixed or Growth. To know about your mindset, keep reading it.
- Do you think intelligence is fixed and can not be changed?
- Do you think no matter how hard you try, you can’t change skill sets?
- People are born with special talents, one can't learn them.
- Do you like to improve your intelligence?
- Do you like to change your decision, when you learn new information?
- Do you like to bring change in you, and for that, you work on your skills?
If your answer is YES to the above three statements, then you have a Fixed Mindset, and if your answer is YES to the rest of the statements, then you have a Growth Mindset.
A growth mindset is the most essential element of success and happiness in life. In a nutshell, people with growth mindsets are constantly trying to learn and bring change to them. They love challenges and believe that their skills, talents can be improved with hardworking.
In an article, Dweck describes people with a growth mindset as:
“Individuals who believe their talents can be developed (through hard work, good strategies, and input from others) have a growth mindset. They tend to achieve more than those with a more fixed mindset (those who believe their talents are innate gifts).”
I am sharing some of the tips if you have a fixed mindset and want to develop a growth mindset.
1. Self Talk
Self-talk is very essential and enhance your performance and well being. You become the one, what you told yourself to be.
2. Get Out Of Your Comfort Zone.
For achieving something, the first step is to get of your comfort zone. There is a world full of opportunities, you just need to take a step out of your comfort zone and face challenges with determination.
3. Create New Habits.
For shifting your mind from a fixed to a growth mindset, you have to start learning new skills and making new habits. Start making notes about the skills you are learning and making a schedule for yourself to keep on the right track and measure the difference in yourself.
4. Ask Help
Asking for feedback from the closest and genuine person is very important in growing and developing a growth mindset. Honest feedback and help from them would let you towards your goals and new you.
5. Fake It Till You Make It.
And here comes one of my most favorite and last tip i.e
“fake it till you make it”.
It means if you want to be a confident person but you are lacking it, then just start faking it, one day will arrive when you finally be the most confident person.
It seems hard but believes me, eventually working towards the above-given tips, you will change yourself and your mindset.
Who we become is what we take forward forever.
